SCHILLIGER HOLZ stands for the business entity of the three legally separate companies SCHILLIGER HOLZ AG, SCHILLIGER HOLZ-INDUSTRIE and SCHILLIGER HOLZ SÄGEWERK AG. All shares are held by members of the Schilliger family. 

 

 

2. Historical Facts

1861 Blasius SCHILLIGER buys a farm in Haltikon with an inn, apple juice production facility and sawmill
1962 A fire storm completely destroys the sawmill and the apple juice production facility (only the sawmill was subsequently rebuilt.)
1969 Purchase of the first profile canter (annual capacity 40000 m3)
1979 New sawmill line sash gang. Various investments.
1988 Purchase of a new profile canter with piling facility.
1989 Glulam 1 goes into production. Various investments.
1995 Planer mill 2 and vacuum kiln dryer 8 go into production
1996 Glulam 2 and kiln dryer 9 go into production
1997 Construction of a wood heating system with a capability of 5 MW and kiln dryer 10
1998 Kiln dryer 11, cutting facility and shed 16 go into production
1999 Glulam plant 3 for big dimension wood panels (GFP) goes into production
2000 CNC-Center with numeric control commences operation
2000 Foundation of the company “SCHILLIGER SÄGEWERK AG” and construction of a new sawmill for large dimension logs in Perlen
2001 The sawmill in Perlen goes into business
2002 Heating system and kiln dryer in Perlen go into production
2003 Glulam plant 4 for big dimension wood panels goes into production
2004 Chips extraction system goes into production
2005 3rd production level in Perlen applied
2006 New crane, planer mill and cutting machines
2007 Replacement gang saw with circular saw in Haltion
2008 Foundation of SCHILLIGER HOLZ LUTERBACH AG, procurement of construction ground in Luterbach
2009 Foundation of SCHILLIGER BOIS SA, take-over of sawmill in Volgelsheim (France)
